Pressure without needles — treating the whole person, physical, emotional and spiritual.
Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Shiatsu works on the same principles as acupuncture. Treatments focus on meridian pathways and specific tsubos — pressure points — using hands, elbows and knees, alongside stretches and softer touch.
Ki
Universal energy. Shiatsu aims to help Ki flow freely through the body, supporting balance and wellbeing.
Meridians
The pathways Ki travels along — the same channels used in acupuncture.
Tsubos
Specific pressure points along the meridians where Alice applies focused pressure.

Hello, I’m Alice.
I studied at the Bristol and Bath Schools of Shiatsu and have practised all over the world. Giving and receiving Shiatsu showed me the direct connection between mind and body — and how well Traditional Chinese Medicine treats a person as a whole.

Is Shiatsu like acupuncture?
It’s based on similar principles, working with the meridians and specific pressure points (tsubos) — but using pressure instead of needles.
What can Shiatsu help with?
Shiatsu treats the whole person — physical, emotional and spiritual — and can help alleviate most conditions. If you’re unsure whether it’s right for you, Alice is happy to talk it through.
